About NIFTi
NIFTi is about human-robot cooperation. About teams of robots and humans doing tasks together, trying to reach a shared goal. NIFTi looks at how the robot could bear the human in mind. Literally. When determining what to do or say next, when, and how. NIFTi puts the human factor into cognitive robots.   Each year, NIFTi evaluates its systems together with several USAR organizations. Rescue personnel teams up with NIFTi robots to carry out realistic missions, in real-life training areas. 
 

Civilian European Land Robot Trial 2011 (C-ELROB 2011)

The 6th European Land Robot Trials will be held on 20.-24. June 2011 in Leuven, Belgium. The ELROB will be accompanied by the "5th IARP Workshop on Robots for Risky Interventions and Environmental Surveillance-Maintenance".

ELROB is a trial! It allows to demonstrate and compare capabilities of unmanned systems in realistic scenarios and terrains. Therefore it is as close as possible to the todays typical deployment scenarios. ELROB is designed to assess current technology to solve problems at hand, using whatever strategy to achieve it.
